Candle Care & Post-use Instructions

Candle care is essential for both maximizing the life of your candle and ensuring safe, effective use. Here are some key points for proper candle care:

Burning Tips

  • Trim the Wick: Before each use, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch to prevent excessive soot and ensure an even burn.
  • Burn Time: Allow your candle to burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the container to avoid tunnelling and ensure an even burn. To avoid overheating and ensure a safe burn, do not burn your candle for more than 2 hours at a time. Allow the candle to cool and solidify before relighting.
  • Safety First: Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Avoid exposure to drafts. Never leave a lit candle unattended and never move a lit candle as the container may become hot. Keep candles out of reach of pets and children. Failure to follow these instructions could result in fire, hazard, or injury.

Extinguishing the Candle

  • Use a Candle Snuffer: Extinguish the flame with a candle snuffer or gently blow it out. Avoid using water as it can cause the wax to splatter.

Cleaning the Jars and Teacups

       1. After the Candle Has Burned:

Cool Down: Allow the jar or teacup to cool completely before handling.

Remove Excess Wax: Fill the jar or teacup with boiling water and let it cool. The wax will float to the surface and can be easily removed. Once the wax is removed, wash the container with warm, soapy water. Use a soft cloth or sponge to remove any residual wax and fragrance. For stubborn wax, you can use a mixture of baking soda and water for extra scrubbing power. If needed, place the jar in the freezer for a short time to harden the wax, making it easier to remove.

       2. Drying:

  • Air Dry: Allow the jar or teacup to air dry completely or wipe with a paper towel before repurposing or storing.

Repurposing Ideas

  1. Jars
  • Storage: Use the jar as a stylish container for office supplies, kitchen utensils, or small trinkets.
  • Planter: Convert the jar into a mini planter for succulents or herbs.
  • Decor: Reuse the jar for DIY projects, such as creating personalized candle holders or decorative vases.
  1. Teacups:
  • Teatime: Enjoy the teacup as a charming vessel for your favourite tea or coffee.
  • Planter: Use the teacup as a cute planter for small plants or succulents.
  • Organizing: Store small items like jewellery, buttons, crystals or crafting supplies in the teacup.

With these steps, you can ensure a longer-lasting candle experience and make the most of your product after use.
